Our Story
Great Wave Sushi was founded in October of 2020, by Chef Alexander Herzog. After a life long love of food and cooking, Alex traveled to Los Angeles, to further his culinary education. After completing the CSA—California Sushi Academy—and working in a few select Japanese restaurants in California, Alex returned home to Maine and continued to pursue his culinary career.
Chef combined his passion of Japanese cuisine and love of feeding people to bring his dream of Great Wave to life.
